Ikat is one of the latest trends to raise the temperature in the design world over the past few years. It is an ancient method of dying thread and weaving fabric that results in a tie-dye effect in the pattern created. I love the subtle "bleeding" of colour and pattern, and the array of hues used to create every item imaginable in this pattern.
